Forwarding emails from Gmail
If your customer emails come into a Gmail account, you can set it up to forward right from your inbox. You will also need to verify the account so that Gmail knows you are legit.
To set up forwarding from Gmail:
STEP 1 – Log into the Gmail inbox for the address you want to forward.
STEP 2 – Click the gear icon and click the Settings link.
STEP 3 – Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP in the toolbar.
STEP 4 – Click the Add a forwarding address button.
STEP 5 – In the text box, enter your default Quickdialog support address:
STEP 6 – Click the Next button.
STEP 7 – In the confirmation window, click the Proceed button.
STEP 8 – A pop-up window will appear, telling you that a verification email has been sent to your default quickdialog account. Click the OK button.
STEP 9 – Switch over to the quickdialog agent area
STEP 10 – In the Inbox, you should have a verification email from the Gmail Team.
STEP 11 – Open the message, find the confirmation code, and copy it.
STEP 12 – Switch back to the forwarding tab in Gmail.
STEP 13 – Paste the code into the Confirmation Code text box:
STEP 14 – Click the Verify button.
STEP 15 – By default, forwarding will be disabled. Select Forward a copy of incoming mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and choose what you’d like Gmail to do with the forwarded messages.
STEP 16 – Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen to start forwarding your messages.
NOTE: You will see a notification banner in your inbox reminding you that you have set the account to forward. The banner will disappear in a week.
