Setup WhatsApp Business API
With 1.5 billions users globally, WhatsApp is by far the most popular messaging app for consumer. On a daily basis, consumers use it to communicate with their friends and family in a convenient, quick and secure manner. They now also expect to be able to speak to their favourite brands via this same channel. This guide gives you everything you need to know about creating a presence on WhatsApp via the Quickdialog platform.

Signing up to WhatsApp Business
You can sign up to the WhatsApp Business program in two ways. Either through emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or through you Quickdialog Account.
To sign up via your Quickdialog account, go to Configuration < WhatsApp and click Complete Onboarding.
You will then need to complete the onboarding form. Our team will then qualify your application and submit to WhatsApp for approval.
Completing your WhatsApp Business onboarding
Once your application has been approved you will be asked for your Facebook Business ID. Go to “Facebook Business settings,” click Business info, and you’ll see your ID below “Business Manager info”. Your ID is required to connect your business account with WhatsApp.
You will also need to ensure that your business is verified within your Business Manager.
Once you finish signing up for WhatsApp Business, you’ll receive an email from our Delivery team asking you to accept WhatsApp via Facebook and verify your business.
Choosing a number to use with WhatsApp Business
Once you have been verified you will need to choose a valid phone number to link to your WhatsApp Business Account.
When selecting a phone number please use these guidelines. The following rules apply:
- You must own this number.
- The number needs to be ‘clean’, which means it mustn’t have been registered with another WhatsApp user.
- The number must include a country code and an area code.
- The number must be able to receive a call or SMS for the channel activation.
These types of numbers are accepted:
- Landline numbers
- Mobile numbers
Once you are verified, WhatsApp is ready to use a channel within your Quickdialog account! Inbound WhatsApp messages will be turned into conversations, and you can created outbound WhatsApp campaigns using Message Templates.
